Hello Nepal, a telecom company (Nepal Satellite Telecom) that was dismissed by the government for non-payment of dues for a long time, is going to the Supreme Court of Nepal.

The decision of the Council of Ministers held last week revoked the license of Hello Nepal for non-payment of dues.

For the past 5 years, Hello Nepal Satellite Telecom has had to pay more than one billion rupees on various topics including renewal fees, frequency, and royalty for the unified license.

Arunraj Sumargi, director of Muttishree Group, that businessman Ajay Sumargi is preparing to go to court against the government’s decision after the government revoked his license.

“Now our last resort is to go to court,” Sumargi said, “Discussions with lawyers and files are being prepared to fight the case against Khareji.”

He accused the government of doing such media play without giving a unified license.

The license of Hello Nepal was also revoked by the Nepal Telecommunications Authority in August 2076. However, after submitting a review application to the government, the government of KP Sharma Oli at that time gave a 5-year installment facility.

Despite the installment facility, Hello Nepal has not yet been able to pay any amount. Hello Nepal, the company of businessman Ajay Sumargi, who is close to Chairman of the Maoist Center, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, is not operating now.

However, even though it is not in operation, it is holding the telecom license and frequency under the guise of power.
