Hetauda Transport Management Revenue: Vehicle Tax and Driver’s License Fees Highlighted

The Transport Management Office in Hetauda, Makwanpur, has successfully gathered NPR 45,66,85,590 in revenue during the first nine months of the fiscal year 2081/82. This revenue has been collected from activities such as vehicle registration, renewals, and driver’s license distribution.

Vehicle Registrations and Licenses
In terms of vehicle registrations, the office reported significant numbers for the nine months. The breakdown includes:
Motorcycles: 2,234
Small Vehicles: 847
Tempos/E-Rickshaws: 626
Large and Medium Vehicles: 624
Tractors: 11
These figures result in a total of 4,351 newly registered vehicles in Hetauda during this period. Additionally, 5,359 driver’s licenses were issued, which include both new licenses and renewals.
Renewals and Additional Services
The office also handled a considerable number of renewals and copies of driver’s licenses. Specifically, 4,781 renewals and 76 copies of licenses were issued. In addition, 63 renewals and copies were processed in total.
Comparison with Previous Year
For context, in the previous fiscal year (2080/81), the Transport Management Office collected NPR 56,07,17,000 in total revenue. During that year, 4,399 vehicles were registered. The current year’s revenue suggests a steady flow of activity and a growing demand for vehicle registration and services in the region.
