Honor Nepal has finally launched the Honor 9X Lite in Nepal. This smartphone becomes the second one after the Honor 8A Pro from the company to release in Nepal post-lockdown.
So, let’s get familiar with the specs, features, availability, and price of the Honor 9X Lite.
Honor 9X Lite Overview
Appearance
Kicking off with the design, the 9X Lite has a plastic built on the back with a glass-like finish unlike the holographic X on the Honor 9X. However, the plastic frame has a matte finish.
Moreover, the rear has a dual-camera module arranged in a rectangular module along with a traditional fingerprint scanner. Down below, there’s a 3.5mm audio hack, a microphone, and a micro-USB port.
Upfront, the Honor 9X Lite comes with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen and a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. Moreover, it has thin side bezels and a big notch design for the front camera.
Camera
Honor 9X Lite sports a protruding dual-camera module on the back along with an LED flash. The device has a 48MP primary sensor with an aperture of f/1.8 which is accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor.
Sadly, the company didn’t opt for the ultrawide angle on the Lite version besides including it in both Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro.
On the front, it comes with an 8MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.0. Talking about video recording, it can shoot 1080 @ 30fps from both the rear and front cameras.
Hardware
The Honor 9X Lite uses the Kirin 710F chipset, which happens to be the company’s mid-range SoC. For the graphics, it uses the Mali-G51 MP4 GPU.
Furthermore, the Lite version is equipped with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The phone supports expandable memory up to 512GB with microSD.
As we said, the chipset is quite old and overused in a lot of mid-range Honor phones. It might be difficult for it to compete in a market dominated by the Snapdragon and MediaTek chipsets.
Battery and Extras
Honor 9X Lite comes with a 3750mAh battery under the hood. Let’s face it, the battery is smaller compared to the 4000mAh on its siblings.
In fact, there’s no fast charging support either. So, you have to make amends with a normal 10W charger.
Similarly, the device comes with EMUI 9.1 on top of Android Pie (9.0) with Google Play services.

Honor 9X Lite Price in Nepal, Availability
The official price of Honor 9X Lite in Nepal is NPR 22,999. This price is for the 4/128GB variant, which is the only one available for this model.
Honor Smartphone Model | Price in Nepal |
Honor 9X Lite (4/128GB) | Rs 22,999 |
Now, we know that the Honor 9X Lite is a cheaper alternative to its sibling, Honor 9X. The company has certainly made a decision with the Lite version that could fire back if the price range doesn’t suit its specs.
There are compromises in the camera with Honor 9X Lite missing out on the ultrawide angle lens. Similarly, the notch design houses the front camera in contrast to the pop-up design of the Honor 9X.
And, its Kirin 710F can’t compete with other mid-range SoC in the Nepalese market. Moreover, the battery support could be disappointing.
Looking at the bright side, the camera setup is pretty decent for a budget smartphone. Furthermore, Honor 9X Lite comes with Google Play services, which could give this phone an edge.
