Ren Zhengfei, founder and CEO of Huawei, said in a recent interview with Global Media in China that the company is pursuing new markets for industrial 5G applications in areas such as mining, transport, and music.

He also underscored Huawei’s continued emphasis on innovation and core business to provide basic platforms for diverse industries in the 5G age.

Helping Huawei concentrate on using ICT solutions to upgrade legacy industries, Ren Zhengfei said, “Connecting businesses in the 5G  age is a key aim. 5G implementations are different for different sectors, but almost all technologies are the same. Our main objective is therefore to increase the use of electronic, software and computing systems in various sectors.”

Huawei’s old commitment and investment in basic research and innovation will be required to accelerate this growth. According to Rain, Huawei has established more than 100 research centers and joint laboratories around the world, specializing in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and aesthetics, including the growing ecosystem of smart cities, autonomous vehicles, smart education, health care, and mining. Develops 5G applications and ICT solutions.

These Innovation Labs partners with clients who provide insights and experience to direct research in line with the needs of their respective industries and Huawei’s expertise in electronics technology helps create excellent apps and services for these industries.
