In a significant move poised to boost the Indian automotive market, Hyundai Motor India has announced a substantial price reduction across its entire model lineup.

This decision comes in the wake of the government’s recent Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms, which have simplified the tax structure for passenger vehicles.

The price cuts, effective from September 22, 2025, are a direct benefit being passed on to customers, making popular Hyundai models more affordable than ever.

The new simplified tax structure has created a ripple effect, with major automakers reducing prices to capitalize on the upcoming festive season.

Hyundai has taken a leading role in this, with price drops ranging from thousands to over two lakh rupees. This move is expected to attract a large number of prospective buyers, who can now avail themselves of significant savings on their new car purchases.

Our sources at Hyundai dealerships have provided a detailed, variant-by-variant breakdown of the new pricing. The price reductions are most pronounced on higher-end and larger models, with the Hyundai Tucson seeing the most substantial benefit.

Hyundai Creta: A More Affordable Compact SUV

The Hyundai Creta, one of India’s best-selling SUVs, is now more accessible. The base petrol model’s price has been reduced by Rs 38,311, while the top-spec variant sees a larger decrease of nearly Rs 70,000.

Diesel variants also enjoy a similar benefit, with reductions ranging from Rs 43,753 to Rs 68,969.

Hyundai Venue: Substantial Savings on a Popular Sub-Compact

The Hyundai Venue, a segment leader in the sub-compact SUV space, is now even more competitively priced. The base petrol model is cheaper by Rs 67,719, and the top-end variant sees a massive drop of over Rs 1.10 lakh. Diesel variants are also significantly more affordable, with price cuts ranging from Rs 1,07,155 to Rs 1,32,750.

Hyundai Alcazar: Premium SUV, Premium Savings

The Alcazar, Hyundai’s three-row SUV, is now more accessible to family buyers. The base variant is cheaper by Rs 51,695, while the Platinum variant sees a reduction of Rs 72,548.

Diesel variants have also become more affordable, with the top-end Signature trim seeing a reduction of Rs 62,859.

Hyundai Tucson: The Biggest Winner

The Hyundai Tucson, the brand’s premium SUV, has received the most significant price reduction of the entire lineup. The base petrol model is now cheaper by Rs 1,95,139, with the top variant seeing a reduction of over Rs 2.11 lakh.

Diesel models benefit even more, with price cuts from Rs 2,11,007 to an astounding Rs 2,39,303. This massive price drop on the Tucson is a game-changer for the premium SUV segment.

Sedans and Hatchbacks: Price Cuts Across the Board

The price cuts are not limited to SUVs. Hyundai has also made its sedan and hatchback portfolio more attractive.

The most significant price decreases are found in the higher-end variants of each model. This is a direct result of the tax reform, which has simplified the structure for larger, more expensive cars, eliminating the complex cess system.

While prices may vary from state to state, these ex-showroom price lists provide a clear picture of the substantial savings now available to customers.

This strategic price correction by Hyundai is a significant development for the Indian automotive market.

By making its entire portfolio more affordable, the company is not only passing on a government benefit but also positioning itself strongly for a sales surge during the upcoming festive season.
