Mahesh Maharjan’s 5th research paper entitled “ICT, Local Governance and Branch-less Banking: Triangular Efforts to Make Social Cash Transfer Easy and Transparent” has been reviewed and accepted in ACM (Association for Computing Machinery). The 4th International Conference on Information Technology and Science (ICITS 2016) has also invited Mr. Maharjan to present his research.
Mr. Mahesh Maharajan has thanked the management committee of ICITS 2016 for the kind invitation to present his paper at the International Conference that is going to be held in Tokyo, Japan.
He also expressed his sincere gratitude to Pro. Dr.SubarnaShakya, Prof. Dr. Sateesh Kumar Ojha, Abhijit Gupta, ShreedharMarasini and everyone who helped them to make that paper most worthy.
Mr. Maharjan’s research paper studies the manual distribution of social security allowance by government employees and how sometimes this cash distribution doesn’t reach the needy people and instead benefits ghost beneficiaries. Mr. Maharajan talks about how with the use of ICT and branchless banking solutions, can make this social cash transfer become fast, easy, transparent and efficient, and actually provide financial capabilities to poor people in rural areas.
The result of his research paper also shows the interest and willingness of the local government employees to adopt the branchless banking technology to help the real beneficiaries feel good governance and access banking facilities.
