The scholarships will be awarded to study B.Sc.(Hons.) in Information Technology at LBEF CAMPUS. Students who have completed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board or Diploma in Computer Engineering from CTVET will be benefited from this scheme.
Students who have appeared for 10+2 or equivalent examinations can also apply. Girl students will be most benefited from this scheme and the reason to do so is to further the educational opportunities of young women of future generations.
The objective of the scheme is to award scholarships to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections of the community so as to provide them better opportunities for higher education, increase their rate of attainment in higher education and enhance their employability.
By 2020, employment in all computer occupations is expected to increase by 22% however the percentage of women working in computer science-related professions has steadily declined since the 1990s. One of the possible steps to reverse the trend is to encourage more female students to undertake computer science.
With this objective, we are planning to introduce National ICT scholarships to females and weaker sections of society.
The scholarship will be awarded to the students who have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grades in the previous final examination (Grade XI & XII).
Students who have appeared for the Grade-XII examination may also apply. Students must have scored more than 50% marks in Mathematics at Grade-X level too.
