A major inter-organizational sports event concluded recently, showcasing teamwork and competitive spirit across Nepal’s insurance industry.

The Nepal Insurance Company Limited successfully hosted its annual Futsal Tournament. The event ran over two days, concluding on December 4th and 5th in Samakhushi.

The tournament achieved a high level of participation. Twenty-eight teams participated from twenty-five different institutions. These included organizations from all facets of the sector. Participants represented the Nepal Insurance Authority, life, non-life, micro, and re-insurance companies, and various surveying firms.

The event successfully fostered stronger connections and camaraderie among the professionals. It provided a much-needed break from the intensive business environment. The energy and enthusiasm displayed by all the teams made the tournament a significant success.

Top Teams Claim Victory and Honors

The competition was fierce, with teams demonstrating high-level skill and dedication. After a series of exciting matches, three teams emerged victorious, securing the top spots in the tournament. The final ranking of the winning teams is as follows:

Awarding the Champions

A formal ceremony was held to honor the winners and outstanding players. Certificates, medals, and shields were actively presented to the winning teams’ players.

The awards were presented by the company’s high-ranking officials. Chandra Singh Saud, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Birkrishna Maharjan, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), jointly handled the presentation duties.

Their presence highlighted the company’s commitment to promoting healthy competition and internal cooperation within Nepal’s insurance industry.

Individual Player Excellence Recognized

Several individual players also stood out for their exceptional skills throughout the tournament. Special awards recognized those who achieved excellence in different facets of the game.

• Best Defender: Sunil Thapa (Himalayan Everest Insurance)

• Highest Goal Scorer: Dinesh Kumar Singh (Himalayan Everest Insurance)

• Player of the Tournament: Yukesh Tamang (NECO Insurance)

These players demonstrated great skill and sportsmanship. Their performance added significant excitement to the overall competition.

Acknowledging Fair Play and Support

The organizing company also acknowledged those who contributed to the smooth and successful execution of the event. The Nepal Insurance Company actively recognized the individuals ensuring fair play and logistics.

The company presented tokens of appreciation to the referees. This was done to recognize their disciplined, dignified, and impartial conduct throughout the matches.

Raju Maharjan of Samakhushi Futsal, who provided the tournament grounds, also received a token of gratitude from the company Chairman.
