Global IME Bank showcased their football prowess by clinching the title in the first-ever Inter-Bank Futsal Tournament. The team secured a resounding 6-0 victory over NMB Bank in the final match.

The tournament was hosted by the Nepal Rastra Bank Employees Union, Siddharthanagar Committee.
As the champions, Global IME Bank received a cash prize of Rs. 50,000, along with a trophy, medals, and certificates. NMB Bank, the runner-up, was awarded Rs. 25,000 and similar honors.
The three-day event, featuring 29 teams, concluded with the top 16 teams battling it out in the quarterfinals, semifinals, and final.
Global IME Bank’s Bom Bahadur Bhujel was recognized as the best player. Durga Oli, also from Global IME Bank, emerged as the top scorer with an impressive 18 goals and was also named the tournament’s outstanding player. Huendra Chaudhary from Global IME Bank was honored as the best goalkeeper.
The closing ceremony was attended by Bijyan Raj Subedi, Director of Nepal Rastra Bank, Siddharthanagar. He, along with other officials, presented awards to the winning teams and players.
Lumbini Province’s Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development, Bhumishwar Dhakal, inaugurated the tournament. Shine Resunga Development Bank was the main sponsor, Global IME Bank was the co-sponsor, and Buddha Television was the media partner.
