The 2nd edition of Nepal IGF 2018 to host November 2-3 in Kathmandu. Nepal IGF is a multi-stakeholder forum initiated to promote and encourage open and inclusive dialogue and exchange of ideas among stakeholders involved with Internet governance related issues in Nepal. The event NEPALIGF 2018 with the theme of “Making Internet Accessible, Affordable and Safe” is being held on 2-3 November 2018 at Hotel Himalaya, Lalitpur.
IGF is a UN initiated multi-stakeholder platform that facilitates the discussion of public policy issues about the Internet. In Nepal, a multi-stakeholder steering group (MSG) chaired by Mr. Birendra Kumar Mishra, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology has formed in 2017.
Internet Society Nepal main host and Internet Governance Institute will be a co-host for NEPALIGF 2018. Internet Society Nepal is a non-profit organization and a common platform for all stakeholders of the Internet ecosystem. Internet Governance Institute (IGI) is a not for profit company based in Kathmandu Nepal.
