ISMT College Pokhara Sports Meet: Winners Across Various Categories Announced

ISMT College Pokhara, affiliated with the renowned University of Sunderland, recently concluded a vibrant sports meet featuring competitions between male and female students across more than half a dozen games. The event took place in Pokhara’s Ward No. 15, New Villages, drawing enthusiastic participation from the student body.

According to Shiv Paudel, Operations Manager of ISMT College, the competition showcased exceptional talent and sportsmanship among students. In the badminton category, Bismit Wagle secured first place, followed by Sulab Thapa in second. In the doubles category, the team “Smash Bros,” consisting of Gaurav Baral and Saksham Rana, emerged victorious, with “Racket Rulers” Bismeet Wagle and Ashish Thapa as runners-up.

In the girls’ badminton category, Roshni Thapa claimed the top spot, with Elisha KC as the runner-up. The doubles category saw “Suttle Sisters” Roshni Thapa and Elisha KC win first place, while “Net Ninjas” Elina Shrestha and Karun Bhandari took second place.

For table tennis, Bikal Karki and Bipin Poudel secured the first and second positions respectively. In doubles, Bikal Karki and Sangam Pradhan’s “Ace Avenger” triumphed, followed by Sandeep Shrestha and Ashish Banian’s “Spin Master.”

In the girls’ table tennis category, Roshni Thapa again took first place, with Elisha KC in second. The doubles winners were “Spin Sisters” Roshni Thapa and Elisha KC, with “Rally Queens” Elina Shrestha and Karun Bhandari as runners-up.

The basketball competition saw Tavin Paiza’s team “LA Lakers” winning, while John Gurung’s team “Golden Warriors” finished second. Alyssa K.C.’s group won the female futsal category. In the male futsal competition, Shulabh Thapa’s “Team Debuggers” claimed first place, with Sandeep Shrestha’s “Team Hasina” in second.

Sumit Pun won the bridge game, followed by Sohan Thapa. On the female side, Roshni Thapa was the winner. In chess, Bikal Karki excelled, with Sangam Pradhan as the runner-up. Ashish Baniyan stood first in another event, with Shulabh Thapa second.
