In light of the ongoing challenging circumstances, the bank has decided to keep a select number of branches open to provide essential counter and clearing services to its customers. The bank has emphasized that the primary goal of this measure is to ensure customer convenience while maintaining safety for both staff and visitors.
Strategic Branch Operations Across Nepal
The bank’s notice provides a comprehensive list of branches that will be operational for a limited time, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This decision reflects a strategic effort to maintain a physical presence for urgent banking needs while encouraging the use of digital alternatives. Focus on Essential Services and Digital Banking
During the limited three-hour operational window, Jyoti Bikash Bank will focus on providing only the most critical services. Customers can perform cash deposits and withdrawals and access cheque clearing services. These services are essential for both individuals and businesses to manage their liquidity and complete time-sensitive transactions.
To further minimize the need for physical branch visits, the bank is strongly encouraging customers to use its digital banking platforms. The bank’s mobile banking and internet banking services, along with its ATM network, remain fully operational. These digital channels provide a secure and convenient way for customers to perform a wide range of routine transactions from the safety of their homes, thereby reducing congestion at physical branches and ensuring customer safety.
Commitment to Customer Safety and Service Continuity
Jyoti Bikash Bank’s decision to operate with a limited schedule and a focused list of branches is consistent with the actions of other leading financial institutions in Nepal. This measured approach reflects a broader industry-wide commitment to ensuring financial stability and public safety during challenging times. By providing clear communication and offering robust digital alternatives, the bank is demonstrating its dedication to being a reliable financial partner. The bank urges its customers to plan their visits carefully, and make the most of its digital banking services to ensure a safe and efficient banking experience.
