KataHo App Nepal: Free Community Security System for Families & Groups
12th September 2025, Kathmandu
In today’s Nepal, the safety of citizens has become a top priority. Rising insecurity has created fear among ordinary people, with women, children, and senior citizens facing the highest risks.
KataHo App Nepal
To address this urgent need, a team of Nepali researchers, RamLaxman, has introduced a new innovation — the KataHo App, a free community security system designed to protect lives and property.
What is the KataHo App?
The KataHo App is a mobile-based security system that provides real-time family and community safety features. Developed after 27 years of continuous involvement in technological innovation, the app reflects Nepal’s growing reliance on digital solutions for social good.
This app will be available free of cost until the end of Ashwin 2082 B.S. for groups of up to 30 members.
Key Features of KataHo
1. Family Safety Service
Users can add two family members to receive emergency alerts.
By pressing the red emergency button inside the app, immediate notifications are sent.
Both family members must be registered in the app to receive alerts.
2. Community Safety Service
Designed for groups of 20–30 members across Nepal.
Suitable for neighborhoods, offices, societies, and friend circles.
The team leader can sound a siren or press a mobile security code to notify all members at once.
Why Nepal Needs the KataHo App
Security concerns in Nepal have increased in recent years. Reports of crime, theft, and social insecurity have created a pressing need for reliable safety solutions. Vulnerable groups — especially women, children, and the elderly — are at greater risk.
The KataHo App offers a simple yet powerful solution, making use of technology to build safer communities and stronger social bonds.
Additional Benefits
Free access for up to 30 members until Ashwin 2082.
Available on both Android and iOS platforms.
Built-in location-based alert system that allows users to share their exact position in emergencies.
Backed by the innovative RamLaxman team, known for developing robots, mobile jammers, voting devices, and thermographic cameras.
Conclusion
The KataHo App Nepal is more than just a mobile application — it is a movement toward safer communities. By empowering families and groups with instant communication tools during emergencies, it adds a new dimension to community security in Nepal.
