Khalti and APEN Moving Towards Digitalization of Education in Nepal

With the aim of digitalizing its services, the Association of Pre-School Educators Nepal (APEN) has entered into a partnership with Khalti.

With this partnership, now more than 600 Montessories who are associated with APEN can pay the renewal fees and program fees easily through the Khalti app. Also, Montessori who want to join APEN can pay the registration fee of APEN from ‘Khalti’.

Khalti has also provided the facility of digital fee collection to every Montessori affiliated with APEN. Which, all Montessories who are associated with APEN can enjoy the service of digital fee collection for free for up to 1 year with the additional benefit of 500 free SMS.

The Association of Pre-School Educators Nepal (APEN) is a non-profit organization registered with the Kathmandu District Administration and Social Welfare Council.

This institute stands as a guardian to the Pre-School and provides guidance, and counseling as per the needs. Along with this it also motivates children, teachers, and principals through various orientations, stage programs, and motivational programs.

Regarding this offer, Khalti’s CEO, Mr. Binay Khadka said, “It is an important opportunity for us to serve in the digital education system in collaboration with APEN.

We are excited that our partnership will digitalize the traditional fee collection system and make financial transactions in the education sector even simpler and safer.”

It has digitized services such as paying bills, mobile and TV recharge, flight and movie ticket booking, insurance premiums, online shopping sites, Government Revenues, Waste Management Bills, and many more.

Moreover, the payment services Khalti provides have also encouraged many small and big-scale businesses to shift their sales online.
