AI Education in Nepal

The synergy between King’s College’s forward-thinking approach and NAAMII’s expertise in AI research has culminated in the development of a comprehensive AI educational course.

Named the “Nepal AI Course For Study,” this program spans six months and is meticulously designed to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of AI principles.

A prerequisite for enrollment is proficiency in Python programming, as the course entails 90-hour sessions conducted four days a week.

With an unwavering commitment to technology-focused education, King’s College and NAAMII are gearing up to introduce this specialized AI course within the coming two months.

While the initial phase targets individuals engaged in information technology and engineering, the course extends its welcome to all enthusiasts of AI.

President Narottam Aryal of King’s College shared, “Our foray into AI education is driven by a vision to position Nepal as a frontrunner in this dynamically evolving global trend.

Our pedagogical approach leverages innovative educational programs and advanced teaching methodologies.”

This venture stands as a testament to Nepal’s recognition of the vast potential inherent in AI integration across sectors. According to Special Khanal, the founder of NAAMII, the AI course is thoughtfully curated, striking a balance between theoretical knowledge and practical application.

Khanal emphasized the ultimate goal, stating, “We aspire to cultivate a local workforce adept not only in utilizing AI but also in crafting AI-driven software with global competitiveness. The global demand for AI-proficient professionals is soaring, and Nepal’s participation is noteworthy through outsourced projects.”

Furthermore, Nepal’s burgeoning AI landscape has the potency to catalyze transformative changes across sectors like agriculture and healthcare, ushering in AI-driven innovation.

This pioneering education initiative serves a dual purpose: it enriches skills while nurturing a skilled AI workforce poised to make significant contributions. As Nepal embraces AI education, the nation embarks on an empowering journey into the realm of artificial intelligence.
