The city is getting ready to announce the identity of the hospital that withheld the information.
The name of the hospital that doesn’t miss 10% of the beds for the treatment of the target group will be announced soon by Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
Even if the names are made public, the violators will receive a letter asking the union and the state government to take appropriate action, according to Ram Prasad Paudel, the head of the health department.
A public notice has been published for this reason, and submission of the information is required.
Health facilities can be governed locally under Section 11(4)B2 of the Local Government Operation Act of 2074.
There is a requirement in the Health Institution Operation Standard 2077, Chapter 24, Section 70 (d), that 10% of the total beds be set aside for free care for patients who are impoverished, defenseless, orphaned, and who come to the hospital for treatment.
This agreement calls for more patients who fall under the target category to publish information about free services and send it to the city by the tenth of every month.
Along with this, it has been asked to offer customer-friendly services, pay health professionals and other employees who work in medical facilities the minimum wages required by the applicable law, and carry out tasks including controlling medical waste.
