Kumari Bank Launches ‘Green Savings Account’ 25% Higher Interest Rate to Promote Sustainable Development

In alignment with the national and international commitments toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Kumari Bank Limited has introduced a new deposit scheme titled “Green Savings Deposit Account.”

Based on the principle of “One Account, One Tree,” Kumari Bank will plant one tree for every account opened under this scheme.

According to Mr. Arpan Paudel, Head of the Sustainable Banking Department of the Bank, the funds collected through this scheme will be utilized to finance projects that promote sustainable development and create positive environmental impact.
