La Hacienda Launches at Moxy Kathmandu: A New Era of Latin American Dining

La Hacienda Barra Y Cocina Latina has opened at Moxy Kathmandu, introducing a contemporary Latin American dining and cocktail experience to the city.

Designed as a modern interpretation of a Mexican hacienda, the restaurant brings together cuisine, cocktails, art, and design in a single destination.
The interior design, developed by Pablo Castellanos Studio, reinterprets traditional hacienda architecture through a contemporary lens.
Key elements include arches, sculptural corridors, lime-wash walls, carved wooden panels, and vibrant furnishings that reflect the spirit of Mexico and Latin America. A moon-inspired illuminated bar anchors the space visually.
Art is an integral part of the venue, highlighted by a commissioned artwork titled El Sol y el Ave by Mexican artist Brenda Roa. The installation adds cultural depth to the space and reinforces La Hacienda’s identity as more than a dining venue.
La Hacienda is a restaurant concept inspired by memory, travel, and cultural exchange. Located within the new Moxy Hotel in Kathmandu, it takes guests on a culinary journey across Latin America, drawing from the landscapes, flavors, and personal experiences of Chef Martín Hernández.
The menu reflects his life story- from the bold, tradition-rich tacos of Mexico to the vibrant, fresh ceviches of Peru, along with dishes shaped by his travels throughout the region.
