Government honuors Ncell’s Acting CTO Lena Keshari Kansakar with the National ICT Excellence Awards 2024 (Women)
Kansakar embarked on her engineering career and joined Ncell as an Assistant Engineer in 2005. Currently serving as the Acting CTO of Ncell, she leads a technical team of over 140 employees and is the first Nepali woman to hold this position in Ncell.

While working in Ncell, Kansakar has been involved in numerous important projects, including the implementation of 2G, 3G, and extensive expansion of 4G networks. She has spearheaded initiatives such as telecommunications access in rural areas, VoLTE expansion, and the establishment of data centers.
Kansakar holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Kathmandu University, Master of Science in Information and Communications Engineering from Universität Karlsruhe (TH), Karlsruhe, Germany, and EMBA from Pokhara University. Her invaluable contributions have played a pivotal role in establishing Ncell as a leading telecommunications service provider in the country.
MoCIT has also honoured other individuals and organizations with awards on National ICT Day 2024. Dr. Shailendra Giri from Pyuthan received the National ICT Excellence Award 2024, while One Point Financial Services was awarded the National ICT Innovation Award 2024.
Similarly, Monal Tech was honoured with the ‘National ICT Startup Award 2024’, the Social Security Fund received the National ICT Award 2024 (Public Sector), and the Data Hub was felicitated with the National ICT Award 2024 in the private sector category. Dynamic Technosoft was awarded with the National ICT Award 2024 at the provincial level.
