Eight life insurance companies in Nepal have announced their bonus rates for the fiscal year 2080/81. These bonuses apply to various life insurance policies based on each company’s actuarial valuation. The declared rates will be valid until the next valuation is completed and approved by the Insurance Board.

Nepal Life has offered bonuses ranging from Rs. 60 to Rs. 85 per thousand sum assured. The highest bonus goes to its “Jeevan Sarathi” plan. Policies with advance premium payments receive a uniform bonus of Rs. 56 per thousand. This is one of the highest among all insurers.
SuryaJyoti Life Insurance
SuryaJyoti’s bonus ranges from Rs. 40 to Rs. 90 per thousand. The “Chaurasi Pooja” policy offers the highest bonus at Rs. 90 per thousand. Whole life and regular policies offer between Rs. 40 and Rs. 75. This makes SuryaJyoti one of the top bonus providers this year.
Citizen Life Insurance
Citizen Life declared bonus rates between Rs. 25 and Rs. 80 per thousand. The “Citizen Jeevan Sarathi” plan offers the top rate. Other term plans fall in the mid-range. This gives customers various options depending on their policy.
IME Life Insurance
IME Life bonuses range from Rs. 22 to Rs. 80 per thousand. Plans like “Kalpadhan” and “Dhan Sarita” have fixed bonus amounts. The latter offers Rs. 22 per thousand, one of the lowest rates. However, other policies offer more, depending on the term and plan type.
Sanima Reliance Life Insurance
Sanima Reliance bonuses vary between Rs. 19 and Rs. 70 per thousand. Regular term plans offer between Rs. 35 and Rs. 70. Single premium policies offer Rs. 54. Triple-term and couple plans provide lower bonuses, ranging from Rs. 20 to Rs. 30. Despite the range, the company provides steady returns.

LIC Nepal announced bonuses from Rs. 45 to Rs. 75 per thousand. These apply to term plans, endowment policies, and child-focused insurance. The company has maintained a strong bonus track record.

Reliable Nepal Life has offered bonuses between Rs. 42 and Rs. 72 per thousand. Child education plans receive the highest bonus. Other regular plans also offer competitive returns.
