The jersey is designed to represent Lumbini Province and reflect the local culture. The dark blue jersey with golden trim features the symbol of an aggressive lion’s head on the left side.

Lumbini is a holy Buddhist pilgrimage site in Nepal and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, renowned as the birthplace of Lord Buddha. It is one of the major holy religious sites in the world that Buddha advised his followers to visit.

Speaking at the jersey unveiling ceremony, Chief Guest Ani Choying Drolma stated, “I am delighted to formally inaugurate the jersey of our Lumbini Lions today. Just as Lord Buddha has played a vital role in spreading peace and harmony in the hearts and minds of people around the world, I wish for the Lumbini Lions to evoke a sense of pride and triumph in everyone’s hearts and minds.”

Rajesh Hamal, Brand Ambassador of the Lumbini Lions Club, said, “Cricket has always been a unifying force in Nepal, bringing people from all walks of life together in the spirit of passion, teamwork, and resilience—values I deeply resonate with. As we unveil the jersey today, I feel like this is not just a symbol of the Club’s identity but also a reflection of our shared dreams and aspirations. This jersey represents hard work, dedication, and the unwavering support of our fans. I am excited to embark on this journey with the Lumbini Lions, supporting the growth of young talent and witnessing the incredible potential of Nepali cricket.”

Likewise, Ishwar GC, chairman of Lumbini Lions Club mentioned, “Today, we proudly unveil the jersey of the Lumbini Lions right here in Lumbini. This design encapsulates the sentiments of the people of Lumbini and reflects the historical and cultural significance of this sacred region. The blue color symbolizes Nepal’s peace and prosperity, while the golden hue represents the eternal flame within Lumbini. Additionally, the golden tone mirrors the majestic lion, adding a touch of brilliance to the design. This jersey stands as a symbol of unity, passion, and excellence. We hope our fans like it and we expect your continued love and support. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our sponsors, partners, and supporters who have been with us throughout this journey. We look forward to your unwavering support in the days to come as we strive for greatness together.”
