Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank CSR Activities In Nepal: Education, Health, And Community Development

Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2081/82, has carried out various social and humanitarian programs.

The bank actively contributed in areas such as financial literacy, education, health, disaster management, environmental protection, infrastructure development, sustainable development goals, human services, and philanthropy.
The bank’s Martadi–Bajura branch distributed school bags to economically disadvantaged but academically excellent students of Shree Laxmi Secondary School. The bank believes this support will help create a more comfortable learning environment for the students.
The Patan–Baitadi branch extended financial assistance for the construction of toilets at Shree Siddheshwar Secondary School, located in Melchaura. The initiative aims to improve hygiene and reduce the risk of infectious diseases for the school’s 800 students and 30 staff members.
The Mahendranagar branch distributed food supplies to Shree Baijnath Dham and Old Age Home Service Committee in Kanchanpur. Additionally, in collaboration with Round Table Nepal, scholarships were provided to 11 students at Shree Madan Ashrit Model Secondary School, Budhanilkantha–4.
To address heat-related discomfort, the Kalaiya branch distributed free cold drinks (Sarbat) to the public. It also provided drinking water to security personnel stationed at the Maligaun Police Circle.
Moreover, the bank partnered with Rotary Club of Birgunj to support the distribution of 10 artificial legs and 10 artificial hands. Similarly, in coordination with Rotary Club of Gaindakot, the bank assisted in the construction of toilets at Shree Navadurga Basic School.
These CSR initiatives reflect the bank’s continued dedication to the betterment of society through inclusive and sustainable community support programs.
