Mahila Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited has announced a staggering 531.03% increase in net profit for the past financial year.

The company’s net profit soared to NPR 94.83 million, compared to NPR 14.34 million the previous year.

The significant rise in profit is attributed to a reduction in impairment charges, which fell from NPR 962.27 million to NPR 63.37 million, and a remarkable 503.33% increase in operating profit, reaching NPR 129.2 million from NPR 21.42 million.

Despite a 13.46% decrease in net interest income, totalling NPR 228.89 million, and a slight 1.27% drop in total operating income to NPR 312.29 million, the company demonstrated robust financial health. The distributable profit stands at NPR 62.25 million, with paid-up capital at NPR 217.56 million.

The company’s reserves grew by 15.52% to NPR 201.04 million, and retained earnings are NPR 68.08 million. Earnings per share (EPS) surged from NPR 6.59 to NPR 41.59, reflecting a strong performance. The net worth per share is NPR 223.70, with a price-earnings ratio of 48.93 and a liquidity ratio of 6.50%. The company also improved its bad loan ratio, decreasing from 5.69% to 3.02%.

Customer loans increased by 17.42% to NPR 4.95 billion, while deposit collections grew by 10.10% to NPR 1.57 billion. This strong performance underscores Mahila Laghubitta’s resilience and growth in the financial sector.
