Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli officially inaugurated the Mechi-Mahakali National Rescue Journey 2081, organized by Manav Sewa Ashram. The aim is to build a nation free of destitute and homeless individuals.
At the ceremony held at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar, PM Oli expressed his best wishes for the campaign, stating that humanity is the supreme religion. He pledged his full support if any issues arose during the journey and encouraged everyone to prioritize humanity first and then the nation.
First Lady Radhika Shakya, former Deputy Prime Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha, and singer Ani Choying Drolma were also present at the event, where PM Oli bestowed Dashain Tika upon the participants of the rescue journey.
Ramji Adhikari, Chairman of the Ashram, shared that the journey was initiated with the vision that no one should live as an orphan. It will continue until 14 October 2024.
