Martyr Families Kids Play-Date
21st November 2025, Kathmandu
The Golyan Group successfully organized a heartwarming ‘Kids Play-Date’ program.
Martyr Families Kids Play-Date
This special event was for the children of Gen-Z martyr families. It coincided with the celebration of World Children’s Day. The Martyr Families Kids Play-Date took place at Oops Nepal Funpark in Dhumbarahi, Kathmandu. It saw enthusiastic participation from both the children and their guardians.
This event directly relates to a broader commitment by the Golyan Group. The group had previously announced an Educational Scholarship Scheme for children of martyr families on October 11. This scheme aims to secure the futures of these children.
Advancing the Educational Scholarship Plan
The Golyan Group is actively implementing its scholarship plan. So far, the group has formalized agreements with the guardians of 27 children. These agreements cover the educational expenses for these students up to Class 12. This significant commitment ensures a stable learning environment for the beneficiaries.
The program on Thursday specifically gathered the children and guardians who are currently part of the educational scholarship scheme and reside in Kathmandu. They enjoyed a full day of fun. The children actively engaged in various entertaining and intellectual games at the Oops Funpark. Laughter and bonding filled the atmosphere.
Building a ‘New Family’ Through Shared Commitment
Mr. Akshay Golyan, Managing Director of the Golyan Group, addressed the attendees. He explained that the purpose of the gathering was to encourage interaction. The goal was to facilitate an exchange of introductions among members of their “new family.”
“Our new family unites through a shared purpose and commitment,” he stated. He emphasized that this is a family “where we respect, value, and protect the rights of every child.”
Golyan strongly believes that a nation’s prosperity relies entirely on the development and well-being of its children. Therefore, he stressed the importance of guaranteeing their right to happiness, freedom, and opportunity.
Honoring World Children’s Day
Ms. Jyoti Gaire, Head of Corporate Affairs and Communications at the Golyan Group, provided insight into the event’s timing. She confirmed the program was intentionally held on World Children’s Day.
The aim was to honor and protect the rights of children. This event successfully combined celebration with concrete action. The Golyan Group previously announced its pledge. They committed to providing educational scholarships up to Class 12 for the children of Gen-Z martyr families. The execution is proceeding in phases.
-
Phase One: Completion of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the guardians.
-
Phase Two: Initiation of the tripartite agreement process. This crucial contract involves the school, the guardians, and the Golyan Group.
This phased approach ensures all legal and administrative requirements are carefully managed. It guarantees the long-term success of the scholarship initiative.
A Model for Corporate Social Responsibility
The Martyr Families Kids Play-Date exemplifies powerful corporate social responsibility (CSR). It shows that companies can create tangible, lasting impact.
The Golyan Group is not only providing financial aid. They are also creating a supportive community network. This holistic approach is crucial for the overall growth and emotional well-being of the children.
They actively seek to replace loss with opportunity and isolation with belonging. This initiative sets a high standard. It urges other corporate entities to invest in the future of the nation’s most vulnerable youth.
By prioritizing education and community for the children of those who made the ultimate sacrifice, the Golyan Group contributes significantly to social equity and national gratitude. The success of the play-date underscores the value of joy and recognition in fostering resilience among these young individuals.
