This is the new IT course ‘MIT’ of T.U, who can study it?

Tribhuvan University has opened the admission process for the educational program ‘Masters in Information Technology’ (MIT) launched at the post-graduate level from this academic session. This program under the Institute of Science and Technology Studies is two years (four semesters) and 59 credit hours.

Course Introduction

 BIT (Bachelor in Information Technology) was launched in 2076. Sayami said that MIT was introduced as a postgraduate level of the same course. According to him, this course covers topics that give students deep knowledge about information technology.

The courses include enterprise application, digital marketing, intelligent computing, cyber security, digital pregnancy, IT entrepreneurship, and others.

Similarly, There are five subjects in the first semester of the course. Each of those subjects is of three credit hours. There are six subjects in the second semester.

Among them, five subjects are of three credit hours. Also, there is one seminar worth one credit hour this semester.

Similarly, there are five subjects in the third semester. Each of these four subjects has three credit hours. Also this semester there is one term paper of one credit hour.

Furthermore, There are three subjects in the last or fourth semester. Among them, there are two subjects of three credit hours. There is also a project or thesis worth eight credits. Thus, this course is 59 credit hours.

However, if the students want, they will also study the elective course of three credit hours in the fourth semester, said the head of the department.

In this way, even if it is 59 credit hours, students can do a course equivalent to 62 credit hours, he said.

What kind of students can study?

To get admission to MIT, one must have studied IT courses like BIT, BSc CSIT, BE Computer, BCA, BIM, etc. at the graduate level.

Where is the study taking place?

This course is being conducted in the Central Department of Computer Science and Information Technology (CDCSIT) of the University along with other four academic colleges.

Among the religious institutions that teach MIT are Patan Multiple Campus, Amrit Science College (ASKAL), Padma Kanya (PK) Campus, and Bhaktapur Multiple Campus.

Student seats and fees

For this course, the student seat capacity is 30/30 in the central department and the individual colleges. Sayami informed me that the fee for the course will be decided soon.

Future after studies

Furthermore, After studying this course, students can work as computer system analysts, IT managers, cloud architects, IT project managers, etc. Similarly, it is said that apart from IT companies, students can also go to study and research.
