MBM IdeaX 2025 Registration Open For Nepal’s Flagship 48-Hour Hackathon

Registration is now open for MBM IdeaX 2025, the flagship 48-hour onsite hackathon of Madan Bhandari Memorial College. The event is set to bring together Nepal’s brightest innovators, developers, and changemakers to create impactful solutions across multiple sectors.
MBM IdeaX 2025 Hackathon
This year’s registration is part of a three-stage process. The current round is the pre-selection stage, where no prototype or coding is required. Teams simply need to present an innovative idea that fits one of the hackathon’s major themes. Selected participants will proceed to an online idea-pitching round, and finalists will compete in the onsite hackathon.
Registration Deadline: 20th Bhadra 2081 (05th September 2025).
What is MBM IdeaX?
MBM IdeaX is one of Nepal’s most inclusive and impactful youth-led technological innovation platforms. Over the years, it has grown from a niche event to a national-level hackathon:
2023: Nepal’s first indigenous-themed hackathon, co-hosted with UNESCO & MoEST, focusing on preserving language and culture through technology.
2024: Expanded into a nationwide event with tracks in fintech, cybersecurity, environment, and education.
2025: Targeting scalable innovation in AI, blockchain, agro-tech, climate action, and inclusive finance.

Workshop Program: 5 – 16 Shrawan
Main Registration Opens: 5 Shrawan
Internal Hackathon Registration: 25 Shrawan – 10 Bhadra
Internal Hackathon: 15 – 16 Bhadra
Main Registration Closes: 20 Bhadra
Online Round: 25 – 30 Bhadra
Final Hackathon Event: 14 – 16 Kartik
How to Register?
Only team leaders can fill out the registration form. Teams must have 2–4 members, and all members must attend the online pitching round to qualify for the onsite hackathon.
Before registering, prepare:
A document clearly explaining your project idea.
Details of your team members and their CVs.
A PPT presentation for clarity during pitching.
