Madan Bhandari Memorial College successfully concluded its digital consumer rights and cyber security awareness program, emphasizing the critical need for integrating science and technology into daily life.

The event was graced by the presence of Mahendra Bahadur Pandey, President of Madan Bhandari Memorial College and former Foreign Minister, who served as the chief guest.

In his keynote address, Pandey highlighted the importance of adapting to the advancements in science and technology and prioritizing digital consumer rights and cyber security.

Bishnu Prasad Timalsena, Secretary General of the Consumer Rights Protection Forum, and Pravin Tamrakar, DSP of the Nepal Police Cyber Bureau, delivered insightful presentations on digital consumer rights and cyber security awareness.

The program commenced with a welcome speech by Dr. Baburam Adhikari, Head of the College, and was conducted by Phul Jha, Head of the Madan Bhandari Memorial College School of Science and Technology.

The program saw the participation of 175 students from Madan Bhandari Memorial College, along with 10 students from KCT College and 5 students from Patan. Additionally, representatives from the CSIT Association, CAN Federation, Tech Entrepreneurs Association of Nepal, Digital Nepal, Russian ICT, and other ICT software and hardware representatives attended the event.

Held at the Russian Culture Center in Kamalpokhri on Wednesday at 2 PM, the event provided a platform for attendees to enhance their understanding of digital consumer rights and cyber security, fostering a safer and more informed digital environment.
