Miss Tourism Queen World Wide to be Hosted in Nepal to Boost Tourism

In a significant move to promote Nepalese culture and tourism, SSK Media has announced the upcoming beauty pageant, “Miss Tourism Queen Worldwide.”

During a press conference in Bhaktapur on Saturday, organizers revealed that the grand finale is scheduled for Kathmandu on June 15 (Jestha 2).
The event aims to showcase the diverse costumes, arts, traditions, and languages of Nepal to an international audience, ultimately attracting more foreign tourists to the country.
Key Highlights of the Competition
According to Santosh Silwal, Chairperson of SSK Media, this pageant is the first of its kind in Nepal with such a specific focus on tourism. The initiative is designed to provide contestants with deep insights into the nation’s heritage, which they will then represent globally.
Eligibility: Young women aged 16 to 29 are eligible to participate.
Participant Count: The organizers aim to include at least 25 contestants.
Training & Exposure: Selected participants will undergo a rigorous 15-day training program. This includes visits to major tourist destinations, professional photoshoots, and specialized classes on Nepalese tourism and history.
Prizes and Rewards
The competition offers substantial rewards for winners and participants alike:

Promoting the “Brand Nepal”
Dikpal Karki emphasized that the primary goal is to promote Nepal on the international stage while preserving its original art and culture. Through traditional performances and ethnic wear, the pageant hopes to present Nepal’s natural beauty and cultural diversity more effectively to the world.

The registration fee for interested contestants is Rs 5,000. The event has secured Facial House as the Makeup Partner and Megatech Value Education Consultancy as the Education Partner.
The organizers noted that more sponsors are expected to join the initiative soon.
