Nabil Bank Donated 6 Crores To Corona Relief Fund

Nabil Bank has donated Rs. 6 crores to the Nepal Government’s Corona Relief Fund. Among the banking sector, this is the largest donation.

The bank’s CEO, Anil Keshari Shah, handed over the amount to the finance minister Yuvraj Khatiwada. Similarly, Nirvana Chaudhary, the coordinator of the bank’s Institutional Social Responsibility was also present in the event.

During the occasion, Shah said, “It is a great honor for Nabil Bank to contribute to the Government of Nepal’s efforts to combat the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.” He also noted that the bank’s Institutional Social Responsibility Fund is the result of all the employees’ efforts.

The bank’s CEO had updated this news in an Instagram post yesterday. The caption read “ Individually, Institutionally, Nationally we must surge together ahead to get through these unprecedented times. Together we can and together we will. Of this, we Nabilians are sure.”

Similarly, in a recent event, Siddhartha Bank had also donated Rs. 2 crores and 67 lakhs to the Fund. You can read about it in detail by clicking here.
