Nabil Bank Nepal Walkathon: International Women’s Day 2025

Nabil Bank Limited organized a walkathon to celebrate International Women’s Day with the theme “Women in Motion – Accelerate Action.” The event aimed to recognize the resilience, achievements, and contributions of women in society.

Event Kicks Off from Central Office

The walkathon began at Nabil Bank’s central office. Chairman Upendra Prasad Paudel extended his best wishes to all women and emphasized the bank’s commitment to empowering them. He highlighted that several departments in the bank are led by women, proving their significant role in its success.

CEO Highlights Bank’s Women-Centric Initiatives

During the event, CEO Gyanendra Prasad Dhungana shared that Nabil Bank would organize various programs throughout March to mark International Women’s Day. He stressed the importance of women stepping into leadership roles and assured that the bank is always ready to provide opportunities in different fields.

Walkathon Held in 12 Locations

The bank organized the walkathon simultaneously in 12 cities across Nepal. The locations included Kathmandu, Biratnagar, Birtamod, Janakpur, Birgunj, Pokhara, Nepalgunj, Tulsipur, Surkhet, Dhangadhi, Butwal, and Narayangadh. Over 1,200 employees from different branches participated.

Promoting Gender Equality and Inclusivity

Nabil Bank believes this initiative spreads awareness about gender equality and supports building an inclusive society. Participants noted that the walkathon was not just a physical activity but also a step toward challenging societal stereotypes and discrimination.
