NRB has allowed commercial banks and development banks to issue prepaid cards with a maximum value of $500.
In regard to International Prepaid Cards launched by Nepal Rastra Bank, Nabil Bank has launched the US Dollar Nabil iCard.
Using Nabil iCard, customers can able to pay for any purchases they made online from foreign E-Commerce sites (except India). This card allows general customers who have active accounts and a PAN card to receive a US Dollar Nabil iCard worth up to USD 500 per year.
Customers can exchange convertible foreign currency equal to USD 500 once or twice a year, according to the bank.
In addition to handling foreign currency for your travels, you can also perform online transactions for Hotel Booking and another service.
