NADA Automobiles Issues Statement on Current National Situation

The NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal has released an official statement expressing deep concern over the impact of recent nationwide protests and demonstrations on the country, the economy, and particularly the automobile sector.

NADA extended heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives during the recent unrest. The association paid tribute to the departed souls and expressed prayers for their eternal peace. NADA also wished for the speedy recovery of all citizens who were injured in the incidents.

Automobile Industry Facing Direct Impact

Highlighting the importance of the automobile sector, NADA emphasized that it is a key pillar of Nepal’s industry, trade, and employment. However, the ongoing situation has had direct consequences on business operations, raising concerns over the safety of employees, customers, and infrastructure.

The association warned that consumer confidence has been negatively affected, and long-term challenges for investment and employment are also emerging due to the instability.

Call for Peaceful Dialogue and Government Action

NADA stressed its belief that complex national issues can only be resolved through peaceful dialogue and consensus. The association urged the government to prioritize the safety of the business community and to provide support and facilitation for the automobile sector to return to normalcy.

Reaffirming its mission, NADA expressed its commitment to protect the interests of member companies, maintain consumer trust, and safeguard the overall automobile industry in Nepal. The association voiced optimism that through united efforts, responsible leadership, and constructive dialogue, the country will soon achieve stability.

First Woman Prime Minister and Upcoming Elections

The statement also acknowledged a historic milestone for Nepal, as the country has, for the first time, a woman Prime Minister, Sushila Karki.

With a new cabinet soon to be formed and the government entrusted with the responsibility of conducting general elections within the next six months, NADA expressed its best wishes that the government will succeed in fulfilling the aspirations of the Nepali people.
