NADA Finalizes 29-Member Executive Committee Under President Surendra Kumar Upreti

The NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal has officially finalized its 29-member Central Executive Committee. Following the second committee meeting chaired by President Surendra Kumar Upreti, the election of office bearers was successfully conducted, marking a complete formation of the leadership team for the 2082/83 tenure.
NADA Finalizes 29-Member Executive Committee
The process was carried out in accordance with Clause 20.7 of the NADA Constitution 2071 (including amendments), following the general election held in Kathmandu on January 8, 2026 (Poush 25, 2082).

Strategic Dialogue with Past Presidents
On the same day as the committee formation, President Surendra Kumar Upreti hosted a high-level consultative meeting with the Past Presidents of NADA.
This gathering was organized to honor the legacy of previous leaders while discussing current industry challenges, such as taxation policies, the transition to EV technology, and the overall growth of the Nepalese automobile market.
The Road Ahead for NADA
With the 29-member committee now fully operational, NADA is expected to take a proactive stance in lobbying for favorable automotive policies in Nepal.
Under Upreti’s leadership, the association aims to bridge the gap between the government and private stakeholders to ensure sustainable growth for both fuel-based and hybrid/electric vehicle segments.
“This committee represents a unified voice for the Nepalese automobile industry. Our goal is to foster innovation and protect the interests of dealers and consumers alike,” stated a representative from the association.
