NAS-IT Successfully Concludes Third Annual General Meeting

The Nepal Association for Software and IT Services Companies (NAS-IT) successfully concluded its Third Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Hotel Soaltee, Kathmandu. The event brought together company representatives, board members, and key stakeholders to review the achievements of the past year and discuss the organization’s future plans.
NAS-IT Annual General Meeting
Gaurav Raj Pandey, CEO of E.K. Solutions, has been appointed as the President. Deepen Chapagain, Country Director at Logpoint, will serve as Vice-President, while Alisha Shrestha, COO of Amnil Technologies, takes on the role of General Secretary, and Abhaya Poudel, Co-founder of Gokyo Labs, as Treasurer. Executive Committee members include Kailash Raj Bijayananda (SVP, Leapfrog Technologies), Narayan Koirala (Managing Director, Eminence Ways), Prarthana Saakha (Co-founder, B.I.C. Technologies) , Richan Shrestha (CEO, Quickfox Technologies), and the Immediate Past President, Santosh Koirala (Executive Director, Techkraft).
With the new leadership in place, NAS-IT outlined its vision to strengthen Nepal’s IT sector by fostering innovation, supporting workforce development, and enhancing collaboration across the industry. The association aims to create meaningful opportunities for growth, promote global competitiveness, and showcase Nepal as a hub for technological excellence.
Over the past year, NAS-IT has made significant progress in policy advocacy, engaging with government stakeholders and closely following changes in IT-related Acts, directives, and guidelines. The association successfully contributed to discussions on IT regulations and sectoral policy improvements.
The association also participated internationally, representing Nepal at the Mahakumbh IT event, the World IT Show, and the APICTA Awards 2024 in Brunei, and also strengthening Nepal-UK technology ties through trade and investment initiatives.
Skill and workforce development remained a key focus. NAS-IT undertook multiple initiatives to enhance professional skills and industry readiness, including the Career Compass program, IT career workshops, NAS-IT course launches, and other training efforts to prepare the workforce for emerging technology roles.
NAS-IT continued to promote industry recognition and collaboration, including the inauguration of the Cybersecurity Committee to enhance resilience and best practices across the sector. The organization reaffirmed its commitment to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and opportunities for members to succeed in global markets.
