2nd January 2026, Kathmandu
The landscape of innovation in Nepal reached a significant milestone as Prashikshan Nepal successfully concluded the National Demo Day of iSprout, the National Student Seed Fund Challenge, on February 1, 2026.
National Demo Day of iSprout
This high-impact event served as the grand finale of a month-long intensive entrepreneurial journey designed specifically for student-led and early-stage startups across the country.
By bridging the gap between academic theory and real-world market dynamics, iSprout has established itself as a premier launchpad for young Nepalese innovators.
A Platform for Scalable Solutions
The National Demo Day of iSprout brought together a vibrant mix of student entrepreneurs, seasoned investors, and ecosystem partners. Ten standout teams, having undergone rigorous workshops and mentorship, pitched their refined business models to a panel of industry experts.
The diversity of the startups showcased the depth of local talent, with solutions spanning fintech, agritech, and edutech:
EFT: Digitizing the traditional tailoring industry.
Digital Piggy: A modern, goal-based savings platform.
UrbanFinder: Simplifying urban housing discovery.
Bhumi Drishti: Providing critical land risk assessment services.

Fueling Growth with a Rs 50 Million Seed Fund
One of the most significant highlights of the program was the access to a seed fund pool of approximately Rs 50 million. This fund was developed in collaboration with prominent investment forums, including NBAC and Invest Circle.
The event drew participation from influential ecosystem leaders, including Umesh Kumar Gupta (IEDI), Santona Malakar (Safal Seeds), Niraj Khana (Antarprerana), CA Sunil Budhathoki, and Binay Khadka. Their presence facilitated early-stage investment discussions, providing the startups with not just potential capital but invaluable strategic feedback.
Collaboration and Mentorship
Conducted in collaboration with Techspire College, the iSprout program focused on transforming raw ideas into investment-ready ventures. Over the past month, participating teams engaged in:
-
Structured business modeling workshops.
-
One-on-one mentorship sessions.
-
Intensive pitch-refinement training.
Supported by partners like E-Startup Nepal and Revamp Nepal, the initiative successfully fostered a collaborative environment where academia meets industry.
The Road Ahead
The conclusion of the National Demo Day of iSprout is just the beginning for these ten startups. The organizers emphasized that the event has opened vital pathways for continued mentorship, deeper ecosystem engagement, and future funding rounds.
As these young Nepalese entrepreneurs move forward, iSprout remains a cornerstone in building a robust, self-sustaining startup culture in Nepal.
