Ncell Files Police Complaint CCTV Evidence
In its complaint, the company said criminal groups took advantage of the protests to unleash large-scale destruction, setting fire to property, looting valuable assets, and causing extensive damage to the building and its contents.
Ncell has urged the police to arrest everyone involved, conduct a thorough investigation, prosecute the culprits to the fullest extent of the law, recover stolen property, and compensate the company for fire-damaged assets.
According to the complaint, the attackers arrived in groups under the guise of protesters and threatened the security guards on duty. The guards were reportedly locked inside a room and threatened with being burned alive if they resisted.
The assailants then smashed the front glass panels, forced their way inside, and vandalized the customer service center and reception on the ground floor. They moved through all ten floors of the building, destroying office property, setting equipment on fire, and looting critical documents, including original certificates, permits, land ownership papers, cash, and company safes.
Ncell reported that valuable office equipment across all ten floors, including computers, televisions, printers, refrigerators, ovens, coffee vending machines, and other items, was stolen or destroyed. Personal lockers assigned to employees were broken into, with laptops, jewelry, and personal belongings stolen. Televisions and monitors from meeting halls and gym equipment from the second floor were either looted or set on fire.
The attackers also seized keys to expensive company-owned and third-party rental vehicles, drove them into the courtyard, and set them ablaze. Some vehicles were dragged outside the premises and destroyed by fire. Employees’ personal vehicles parked on the premises were also vandalized and burned, resulting in massive financial and material losses.
The company has submitted CCTV footage of the attack along with a detailed inventory of the stolen and damaged assets to assist police in the investigation. Ncell stated that the full extent of the losses is still being assessed, and additional details will be provided to the authorities as the investigation progresses.
