Nepal Bank Limited has issued an important notice to all its Demat account holders regarding the renewal of Demat accounts for the fiscal year 2082/83. As per regulatory provisions, every Demat account holder must pay an annual Demat account operating fee of NPR 100 (One Hundred Rupees only) each fiscal year to maintain and renew their accounts.

Nepal Bank has requested all customers to ensure that the annual Demat account fee is paid no later than Shrawan 16, 2082. Clients can pay the renewal fee by visiting their nearest Nepal Bank branch or through various digital payment platforms, including:
Mobile Banking App
eSewa
Khalti
Connect IPS
Failure to pay the Demat account renewal fee by the mentioned date will result in the Demat account being frozen until the required amount is settled. This measure is being taken to ensure compliance and effective account management under the prevailing guidelines of the Central Depository System (CDS) and Clearing Limited.
Ensure Timely Update For Dividend Benefits
Nepal Bank further advised all investors to update their Demat accounts regularly to avoid any disruption in receiving dividends. It is equally important to match details between the bank account and the Demat account to ensure consistency and smooth financial transactions.
Mero Share Service Renewal Also Mandatory
For investors using the Mero Share online portal, the bank reminded customers that the service needs to be renewed within one year of activation. If not renewed within the timeframe, the Mero Share service will be automatically deactivated. Customers are urged to pay NPR 50 (Fifty Rupees only) as the annual fee for Mero Share at the time of Demat account renewal.
