Nepal Bankers’ Association Election Results: Koirala, Regmi

Sherchan’s decision followed a series of discussions with past NBA presidents, allowing Koirala to assume the role. Koirala’s election marks a new chapter for the NBA as he leads the association forward.

Surendra Raj Regmi Becomes Vice President

In addition to Koirala’s election, Surendra Raj Regmi, CEO of Global IME Bank, has been appointed Vice President. Regmi, who faced no opposition, will now contribute to the association’s growth and strengthen its role in Nepal’s banking sector. His leadership will be crucial as the NBA navigates the challenges of the evolving financial landscape.

Three New Members Join the NBA Executive Committee

Along with the President and Vice President, the NBA has also elected three new members to its executive committee:

Tilkaraj Pandey, CEO of Nepal Bank

Ramchandra Khanal, CEO of Kumari Bank

Sudesh Khaling, CEO of Everest Bank (returning member)

These additions will help the NBA continue to build on its successes and support the development of the banking sector in Nepal.

The official confirmation of the newly elected members will take place at the 38th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the NBA, scheduled for December 18, 2025. During this meeting, the leadership team will present their vision for the future, focusing on the NBA’s goals and objectives moving forward.
