The MoU was signed on June 10, 2025, in Geneva, Switzerland, in the presence of the Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security, Sharad Singh Bhandari, by FNCCI President Chandra Prasad Dhakal and CAMFEBA Vice President Sok Lor.
The memorandum highlights cooperation in employment, labor law, sharing of best business practices, training, research, and joint capacity-building programs, with a focus on promoting investment.
FNCCI President Dhakal stated that the MoU prioritizes B2B cooperation, with both organizations committed to assisting their members in identifying business partners, collaborating through business forums, and exploring investment opportunities.
He also informed that joint efforts will be made in entrepreneurship, industrial relations, human resources, occupational safety, skills development, and investment promotion as per the agreement.
Similarly, CAMFEBA Vice President Sok Lor expressed his belief that this understanding between FNCCI and CAMFEBA would open up new opportunities, strengthen networks, and pave the way for regional cooperation.
To ensure effective implementation, regular consultations and necessary operational arrangements will be made. The agreement comes into effect from the date of signing and can be terminated with 90 days’ notice.
This partnership is expected to deepen economic cooperation between Nepal and Cambodia and create an inclusive business environment.
FNCCI Vice President Jyotsna Shrestha, Executive Member Babu Kaji Karki, and CAMFEBA Executive Director Tep Sophorn were also present at the signing ceremony. The agreement is believed to support collaboration and investment promotion between the business communities of the two countries.
