Nepal’s Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Deepak Khadka, met with Wang Hongzhi, Administrator of the National Energy Administration of China, during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Energy Ministers’ Meeting in Ningbo, China.
Nepal-China Hydropower Investment Talks
The meeting focused on deepening Nepal-China energy cooperation. Minister Khadka thanked the Chinese government for its warm hospitality and congratulated China on successfully hosting the SCO ministerial-level energy meeting.
China Assures Energy Support To Nepal
During the talks, Wang Hongzhi highlighted China’s readiness to assist Nepal. He said that China is willing to provide both technical and financial support for Nepal’s energy infrastructure development. He stressed that the two countries should widen the scope of long-term cooperation in energy security.
