In the final match, Nepal showcased their all-round power by crushing Samoa by a massive 124 runs. Batting first after losing the toss, Nepal posted a monumental total of 211/4 in 20 overs.
Openers Aasif Sheik (69 off 41 balls) and Dipendra Singh Airee (53 off 34 balls) laid a superb foundation with half-centuries, while Lokesh Bam provided a stunning late finish, smashing 39 runs off just 11 balls.
Samoa, chasing a target of 212, could only manage 87/7 in their 20 overs. The Nepalese bowling attack was spearheaded by Lalit Rajbanshi with 3 wickets, and he was ably supported by Karan KC, star leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane, and even Captain Rohit Paudel, who each chipped in with a wicket.
This victory marks the first ICC tournament trophy for Nepal in 11 years, signifying a new golden age for the nation’s cricket.
Captain Paudel deserves special kudos for leading the team with admirable calm and perseverance through the Super Six stage, where Nepal clinched thrilling victories against the UAE (by 1 run), Qatar (by 5 runs), and Oman (by 38 runs).
Nepal, along with the UAE and Oman, has now secured its place in the T20 World Cup 2026.
The Rhinos’ journey, marked by world-class fielding, top-order batting, and deadly spin, has brought immense pride to the entire Nepalese nation.
