Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Damodar Bhandari, inaugurated the fourth edition of the Nepal Electric Power & Lights and Nepal Consumer Electronics & Home Appliances International Exhibition at Bhrikutimandap on Friday.
Nepal Electric and Electronics Exhibition
The exhibition has been jointly organized by Media Space Solutions, Futurex Trade Fair & Events, and Exhibition & Trade Services India Pvt. Ltd., with support from the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) and the Nepal Solar Energy Producers Association.
More than 100 stalls from domestic and international companies are showcasing high-quality, cutting-edge, and innovative products. These include transmission and distribution equipment, power supply and control devices, house wiring materials, wires, cables, conductors, advanced switches, LED lighting, electronics, household appliances, charging stations, batteries, office-use electrical technology, and other electrical solutions.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister Bhandari emphasized the immense potential for exporting electricity and electrical goods produced in Nepal. He added that the participation of several national and international brands reflects the growing opportunities in Nepal’s energy and related industries.
The exhibition aims to promote and encourage the use of electrical devices, support the growth of quality electrical businesses, and facilitate domestic and international trade in the sector.
Organized just weeks ahead of Nepal’s biggest festival, Dashain, the exhibition provides an opportunity for consumers to conveniently purchase products from various national and international brands under one roof.
The event also serves as a platform to bring together entrepreneurs from electricity, electronics, communication, information technology, and alternative energy sectors. It promotes business partnerships, knowledge exchange on the latest innovations, and spreads awareness about the efficient use of energy among consumers.
Fundamentally, the exhibition seeks to create opportunities for collaboration and business expansion among Nepal’s energy and electrical industries while contributing to economic strengthening through increased domestic consumption of hydropower.
The Nepal Electric Power, Lights, Consumer Electronics & Home Appliances International Exhibition will continue until Bhadra 15 at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.
