The Government of Nepal, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), has officially launched a dedicated web portal to collect data and monitor the condition of Nepalese nationals residing in the Middle East following the recent escalation of conflict in the Gulf region.

The Department of Consular Services operationalized the website on Tuesday to streamline communication and identify those in high-risk areas.
According to ministry officials, the information gathered through this digital platform will serve as the foundation for emergency rescue plans and repatriation efforts.
Nepalese workers in the Gulf are urged to register their details, including their current location and contact information, to ensure the government can reach them swiftly if the security situation deteriorates further.
The move comes amid heightened regional tensions as Iran continues to target military and civilian infrastructure across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and Jordan.
There are currently over 1.7 million Nepalese working in these nations, many of whom are facing extreme anxiety due to the ongoing missile and drone strikes.
The urgency of this initiative was underscored by the tragic death of Diwas Shrestha, a 29-year-old security guard from Gorkha, who was killed in an Iranian drone attack at Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi on Sunday.
As the conflict intensifies, the Foreign Ministry remains in high-level contact with Nepalese embassies in the region to prioritize the safety of all citizens.
