Nepal Extends Lockdown Until April 27

The meeting of the Council of Ministers held in Baluwatar on Tuesday afternoon concluded with the decision to extend the lockdown period till April 27.

The country has been in lockdown since March 24. It has been almost a month, but the government took this decision keeping the health of its countrymen at the top priority.

Also, taking into consideration the new COVID-19 cases reported from Kathmandu and other districts outside the valley, the government has gone for the decisions of the lockdown extensions.

Earlier, the World Health Organization (WHO) had warned all its members not to underestimate the pandemic as the outbreak could be fatal if not taken seriously.
