The Nepal Financial Institution Employees Association (NFI), representing employees of Rastriya Beema Company, successfully concluded its second central convention.

This significant two-day event was held on Mangsir 26 and 27 (as per the Nepali Calendar) in the scenic location of Suryachaur, Nuwakot. The convention served as a crucial platform for organizational planning and the election of new leadership.

Inauguration and Dignitaries

The program was efficiently conducted by the Association’s General Secretary, Abhimanyu Khanal. The event garnered significant attention, featuring the presence of several high-profile guests from the insurance and financial sectors. Short sentences and active voice were used to enhance readability.

The convention saw the participation of key figures, including the Chief Guest, Parsuram Khanal, Senior Vice-President of the NFI National Committee. Special guests were Dr. Shivahari Shrestha, Chief Executive Officer of Rastriya Beema Company, and Bikash Shrestha, General Secretary of the FIAN National Committee.

The convention also hosted distinguished attendees such as Rajani Paudel, Chief Manager and Company Secretary, and Dr. Srijana Panta, Chief Manager and Head of Employee Administration.

Focus of the Convention

The second central convention concentrated on reviewing the association’s past performance and setting the agenda for the coming term. Discussions were conducted on various employee welfare schemes, the enhancement of professional skills, and the role of the association in the broader financial landscape of Nepal.

The atmosphere was one of collaboration and forward-thinking, emphasizing the dedication of the Nepal Financial Institution Employees to the company’s success.

The attendees actively participated in strategic planning sessions. They reviewed amendments to the association’s constitution and discussed ways to foster a more dynamic working environment within Rastriya Beema Company.

New Central Working Committee Elected

A major highlight of the convention was the democratic election of the new 15-member central working committee. Deepak Raj Pandey was elected as the new President, bringing fresh leadership to the association.

The newly elected body represents a strong mix of experience and emerging talent within the Nepal Financial Institution Employees cadre. The key office bearers include:

The remaining members were selected to round out the 15-member committee, including Kamala Ojha, Dambar Binadi, Narayan Aryal, Pooja Guragain, Nira Gyawali, Nirmala Kumari Joshi, and Keshab Raj Paneru. This new team will lead the association in its efforts to serve its members and strengthen its position in the financial sector.
