Nepal’s First In-School Math Museum By Embark UnMath Revolutionizes Learning in 5 Days

4th August 2025, Kathmandu

Embark UnMath proudly launches Nepal’s first-ever in-school Math Museum program, a groundbreaking initiative designed to take mathematics from textbooks to tactile learning.

This immersive program transforms schools into vibrant math spaces where students can touch, build, and interact with mathematical concepts, sparking curiosity and fostering student-led learning.

Divesh Bathija, co-founder of Embark UnMath, said, “We created Math Museum to show that math is not just about numbers on a page; it’s about patterns, stories, and possibilities. When students can touch, build, and explore, they begin to see math everywhere. We believe that this program will transform students’ relationships with learning itself.”

In addition to transforming how students engage with math, the program also aims to empower educators with innovative teaching tools. The participating schools also play an active role in the process by working closely with Embark UnMath to select passionate student leaders, provide dedicated spaces for interactive exhibits, and organise a community-facing launch event that celebrates the power of collaborative learning.

Embark UnMath also provides continued support after the end of the program with the vision of making the Math Museum a permanent part of school learning. The initiative hopes to foster an environment that nurtures capable minds and a lifelong love of math in every student.
