As part of this initiative, Rakuten Viber will introduce a multitude of dedicated channels offering users direct access to essential public information. These channels will serve as a centralized hub for citizens to stay informed about government initiatives, policies, and community events.

Furthermore, Rakuten Viber has established a robust partnership with the Ministry of Health and Population (MOHP) to launch a “Swastha Suchana” campaign. As a part of the Swastha Suchana initiative, the general public will have access to accurate and timely health-related content, including official guidelines, health and campaign updates, and other critical information directly from trusted sources.

Dr. Prakash Budhathoki, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “We are pleased to join forces with Rakuten Viber to amplify our outreach efforts in delivering health-related content to the public.”

“Rakuten Viber’s commitment to privacy and security ensures that users can trust the platform as a reliable source for official government communication. The collaboration with the Nepal government marks a significant step forward in leveraging technology to enhance transparency, engagement, and accessibility to crucial information for citizens”, remarked David Tse, Senior Director for Rakuten Viber APAC region.
