Organized with National and International Collaboration
The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) organized the event as part of its annual calendar. The fair received support from the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies and the Trade and Export Promotion Centre (TEPC). In addition, the Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Federation of Cottage and Small Industries co-organized the event.
Organizers offered free entry to encourage public and business participation. As a result, visitors from across the country came to explore products, services, and ideas.
Participation from Three Nations
Exhibitors from Nepal, China, and Bangladesh participated in the fair. The stalls represented a variety of sectors, including textiles, handicrafts, agriculture, food, electronics, and consumer goods.
More than 120 companies and organizations displayed their products. This made the event one of the largest trade fairs held in recent years. Nepali businesses showcased local products, while foreign exhibitors highlighted export goods and potential collaborations.
Boost to Bilateral Trade and Investment
The trade fair created opportunities for business networking and investment discussions. Representatives from various countries held meetings with Nepali entrepreneurs. These interactions focused on expanding bilateral trade and exploring investment partnerships.
Business delegates used the platform to share ideas and understand market demands. According to the organizers, these discussions may lead to new trade agreements and joint ventures shortly.
Strong Public Interest
The fair attracted significant attention from the public. Visitors included students, professionals, industry experts, and potential investors. Families and tourists also enjoyed the event.
FNCCI Trade Fair Committee Chair Umesh Dalmia noted the strong participation. “The response from both businesses and the general public was very encouraging,” he said. “This fair helped promote local industries and connected them with potential buyers and partners.”
Support for Local Industries
One key objective of the fair was to promote domestic products and services. Nepali exhibitors got a platform to reach wider audiences and demonstrate the quality of their work. Many businesses received inquiries, sales leads, and new contacts.
The event also supported small and medium enterprises (SMEs), especially those involved in traditional crafts and local manufacturing. These businesses often struggle to compete with imported products, but the fair offered them visibility and recognition.
FNCCI believes the fair will contribute to the country’s economy by encouraging local consumption and boosting exports.
Opportunities for Growth
Alongside showcasing products, the fair helped participants understand market trends and customer preferences. Entrepreneurs learned about pricing, packaging, promotion, and competition.
Workshops, interactive sessions, and live demonstrations took place during the event. These programs gave visitors insights into new business models, innovation, and branding.
Startups and youth-led businesses also joined the fair. They used the opportunity to gain exposure and test their ideas in the market.
Feedback from Organizers and Exhibitors
Exhibitors expressed satisfaction with the management of the fair. Many shared that they received valuable feedback and business connections. They also appreciated the diversity of participants and visitors.
Organizers said the event was successful in creating a vibrant business environment. “The Nepal International Trade Fair is more than an exhibition,” said one FNCCI official. “It is a platform for learning, growing, and collaborating.”
Conclusion and Future Plans
The fair ended on a positive note. Organizers plan to analyze feedback and improve the next edition. They also aim to invite more international participants and increase the number of thematic stalls.
Nepal International Trade Fair 2025 proved to be an effective space for promoting trade, investment, and innovation. It showcased the strength of Nepali industries and their readiness to grow in global markets.
As Nepal continues to recover from economic challenges, events like this bring optimism and action. The fair not only connected products with buyers but also ideas with opportunities.
