Nepal Life Insurance Partners Kathmandu Skills Fair 2025: Empowering Youth for Prosperity

Nepal Life Insurance Company has partnered as an institutional collaborator in the ‘Kathmandu Metropolitan Skills Fair 2082’ organized by Kathmandu Metropolitan City. The company participated in the fair as part of its corporate social responsibility.

The main objective of the ‘Skills Fair 2082’ conducted by the Metropolitan City is to teach skills to those who lack them and to further enhance the abilities of those with basic skills. The fair aims to achieve prosperity in Kathmandu through employment and income generation. Under the fair, free training related to 37 professions across 10 different fields is being fully provided.

Nepal Life’s Commitment To Social Responsibility

Pravin Raman Parajuli, Chief Executive Officer of Nepal Life Insurance Company, expressed happiness in participating in this campaign by Kathmandu Metropolitan City. He said, “When the proposal for ‘Skills Fair 2082’ came to Nepal Life, we saw it not only as an opportunity but as an important campaign to empower youth and show them the path of self-employment. This fair will help balance the demand and supply of youth workforce through more than 30 different training programs.”

He added, “We accepted this proposal as an institutional partner because it not only guides, equips, and protects youth but also opens the door to the possibility of building their future.”

“The Skills Fair is not just a program; it is a campaign for social change. It embodies the potential for youth self-reliance and national prosperity. We take pride when young people become capable and create employment opportunities,” said Nepal Life.

Youth from across Nepal are participating in the Skills Fair. Some are seeking their first opportunity, while others are giving their lives a new direction. The fair focuses on providing them with the necessary skills, opportunities, encouragement, and infrastructure.

According to Devendra KC, representative of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, “With the slogan ‘Employment and Income Growth, Prosperity of Kathmandu,’ the fair is being implemented under a three-year plan, which falls under a national pride project. Collaboration with the private sector is remarkable, with the participation of Nepal Life Insurance Company being especially commendable.”

Target Groups And Training Management

The Skills Fair is specifically conducted targeting permanent or temporary residents of the Kathmandu Metropolitan area, taxpayers, residents of landfill-affected areas, unemployed youth (both women and men), and people returning from abroad looking for work.

Training sessions are conducted daily in three shifts. The morning shift starts at 7 AM and ends at 11 AM. The second shift runs from 11 AM to 3 PM, and the third shift is from 3 PM to 7 PM. Each classroom accommodates 25 participants.

A participant in the Skills Fair said, “I am very happy to participate in this training. I believe it will give me employment opportunities and make my future better.”

Currently, the company provides all life insurance-related services to its clients and customers through its nationwide office network. So far, more than 3 million insured persons, including those engaged in foreign employment, have been covered by the company.

Nepal Life has expressed its commitment to continue providing timely additional services and facilities while keeping the interests of its customers in mind.
